From a tile shop to your kitchen.
We are a Kota Kinabalu team with roots in tiles and ceramics. Today we design, build and install kitchens, cabinetry and bathrooms ourselves, from the first sketch to the last hinge.
No degree. No shortcuts.
Our founder, Michelle Fong, started out in Sandakan as a 19-year-old tile shop assistant, straight after SPM. She then spent seven years at a ceramic company, learning, lifting and hearing the same questions from homeowners again and again.
In 2014 she took a chance on her own business. It had no office and no proper name, and it failed. She kept showing up anyway. Slowly she built Mega Solution, a kitchen and bath business that added appliances and became an authorised Fotile brand store. In 2025 it became Cabchen, so we could offer more: cabinetry, kitchens and bathrooms planned in 2D and 3D, made to measure and installed by one coordinated team.
Today our team brings more than 50 years of combined experience to homes across Kota Kinabalu and Sabah. And Michelle's dream is still simple: every home in Sabah with at least one touch of Cabchen.
Tiles and ceramics
Where it all starts: a tile shop in Sandakan, then years at a ceramic company learning materials, finishes and what homeowners really ask for.
Mega Solution: kitchen appliances and Fotile
After a first business that did not make it, Michelle builds Mega Solution. It grows into kitchen appliances and becomes an authorised Fotile brand store.
2025: becomes Cabchen
Mega Solution gets a new name and a bigger scope: Cabchen, Cabinetry, Kitchen and Bath Specialist, under Prestige Empire Homes Sdn Bhd.
June 2025: Penampang showroom opens
A second showroom opens at Villa Tropikana, Penampang, joining our Iramanis HQ on Jalan Lintas. Two places to come and touch the finishes.
The faces behind your kitchen.
The same team plans, measures, builds and installs. Drop by either showroom, open a few drawers and see the finishes, fittings and Fotile appliances up close.
Authorised Fotile brand store.
Your hood, hob and built-in appliances are planned into your cabinetry from the first sketch, not squeezed in at the end. And after handover, we are here with after-sales support when you need it.
